Western Langara
Langara Island Fishing Resorts - June 2, 2006The west side of Langara Island around 4pm was the place to be today…
Moderate easterlies kept anglers of off the east side of Langara Island. Nonetheless, some really nice Chinook were caught on the west side, between Lacy Island and the Lighthouse, averaging in weight in the late 20s. The 16:10 high tide provided most of these catches.
Also, special regards must be made to the “Montana 3” — Matt Pozega, Fred McCormick, and Garry Lazarozky — for their large quantity of halibut and lings caught in a brief three hours work.
The day ended perfectly as the easterly relaxed, and a large pod of Orcas was spotted off Cox Island.
