Hey folks. The salmon showed up today in droves. An abundance of herring at Cohoe Pt. and Andrews Pt. caused a feeding frenzy that resulted in many of our boats limiting out on Chinooks. 11-40 pulls was working with most fish being caught shallow (11-20pulls) in the morning. The average size jumped up to 20 lbs. and I expect to see some 30-40 pounders hit the dock any time now.
Donald Ecker and Dean Ecker got surprised by a 67 lb. hali they caught on their salmon gear which I happily helped with the harpoon. (Love the harpooning… Love it!!).
Anyway, the Langara action that we’re used to is happening and getting better every day so we’ll see you soon. Gotta go drop a line.
