The bait is moving in

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - July 17, 2007

Salmon fishing has been a little slow for the past several days, but NW winds and large amounts of bait are bringing a new run to Langara Island. Traditionally late July and early August is the peak of our season, so I am confident things will turn on again. Bottom fishing continues to improve. Catching dinner sized Halibut and Lingcod is pretty well automatic at Langara rocks and the Lighthouse. New bottom fishing spots at Chanal Reef and Cape Knox are yielding Halis, Lings and fat Yelloweye.
