New season record
Langara Island Fishing Resorts - July 8, 2006
This just in from the docks of the MV Marabell… Joanne Skakun from the legendary Island Outfitters group of Victoria, BC just caught a 42 pound Chinook, setting a new season record at the ‘Bell in the process!
Joanne was plying the waters of Bruin Bay at 15 pulls. The bay — fished for its quality of salmon, not quantity — has been working its magic for those anglers who have the necessary patience, producing several Tyees and more in the high twenty pound range.
