Hey folks, Cookie here again with aquatic adventures from the wild Northwest.
A gorgeous day today with light winds enabled Marshall and I to take a large group out bottom fishing off the west side of the island today with tremendous results. 33, 31, 26, 24, 24, 25 and 46 lbs were among a great showing of Ling cod and a 90 lb hali topped a list which also included a 42 and many 30 lb range halis.
This group along with the last group has been catching large Chinooks on a regular basis with the daily winner always well over 30 lbs. The big hooknose northern Cohos have been showing up on the dock in the form of 12 to 15 lbers every day now.
Nice weather and the promise of big fish every day, I'll see you soon.
