Langara Island Fishing Report

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - July 3, 2006

Northwest winds eased up and anglers set off to fish the east side up to Langara Rocks. Gunia Pt was the most productive area for the first light bite, furthered by Cohoe Pt producing Chinook throughtout the day.

Although under somewhat sloppy conditions, McPherson Pt produced a very nice afternoon bite for anglers willing to battle the wind. Most Coho are now being caught at the 9 to 15 pull range, with the Chinook moving deeper to the 30 to 45 pull range.

The crew welcomed aboard the Cosh family for their annual fishing retreat. Also, as the crew begins timeout rotations, former Lead Deckhand and Fishmaster Phil “Black Magic” Smith has rejoined the Marabell crew for the next two weeks.... The crew now proudly boasts at having two Fishmasters on the job. That puts the combined deck experience up to 20 seasons.
