Langara Island Fish Report

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - June 20, 2006

Hello anglers.

Cookie here again with a weeks worth of fish tales.

The average size for Chinooks is still way up with 5 fish over 40 lbs in the last week and 20 over 30lbs. The season's largest fish is still a whopping 57lbs. "Fusilli" Marshall (the Fishmaster of the MV Marabell) has taken the lead in the fishmaster showdown with a 39lb. smilie he plucked out of 40 feet of water in Egeria bay(I put him on the spot).

Coho Point and Egeria Bay are still producing the most large Chinook but Gunia and Bruin Bay are quickly catching up. The Cohos have begun to show up with 6 hitting the dock today. As I write this " Marshall the Marabel fishmaster has 20 bottom bouncers 2 miles off the Lighthouse (I put him on that spot as well!) hopefully continuing our string of productive bottom fishing trips that have already seen countless large lings and yellow eye and halibut reaching 140lbs.

I was going to take a nap but with the 41 and 38lb. Chinook that just hit the dock, I think maybe a couple passes over the pig farm in Bruin Bay may be in order before dinner!

Tight Lines,
Cookie
Fishmaster, MV Charlotte Princess
