Langara Fishing Update

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - June 7, 2007

Andrews Pt is still the hot spot with very consistent action during the morning hours. Fish are being caught there throughout the day and we saw a nice double header at 3pm yesterday. A new bottom fishing spot at Cox Island is producing at a strong level.

Some strong NW winds came through several days ago and pushed in some Tyee-size Chinook that were caught by P. Leahy at Langara Rocks and G. Trahan at the lighthouse. Bruin Bay starting to produce and Chum and Coho are starting to show up.

As for halibut, the 250′+ mark off of Andrews Pt has produced numerous smaller halibut in the 10-15 lb. range.
