Langara Fishing Update
Langara Island Fishing Resorts - June 5, 2007The weather has been co-operating lately and the fishing has been steady. Andrews Point is currently the most consistent producer at about the 150′ water depth, especially with the colder current pushing along the point. At 25 to 60 pulls we’re seeing fish in the 15–25 lb range. A few Coho and Chum are also showing up.
Larger Chinook are being found close in at Cohoe Point and Blackrock in Egeria Bay. An evening bite at Bruin Bay is producing nicely again this year with plenty of 15–20 lb Chinook along with the odd Coho.
Westside and Lacy Island are strong this year with good action for Chinook. A bottom-fishing trip to the Lighthouse was successful for a time until some weather—or “Langara sunshine”—came in.
