Hot, hot, hot

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - July 20, 2007

langara fishing lodgeCoho fishing has become hot in the last 24 hours and the Chinook fishing is picking up dramatically.

Small bait is outperforming large bait as needle fish are abundant at all the major points. Coho are boiling on the surface everywhere around Langara Island so that classic shallow mooching at seven pulls is highly effective and even the most random spot can have a good bite come on.

Deep fishing in Egeria and Explorer Bays, Langara Rocks and Andrews Point is yielding 20 to 40 lb. Chinooks. The way fish are strarting to show up I (Cookie) believe that all the major points will be producing Chinooks by tomorrow as a few guests had some success at Marchand Reef today.

The tightness of our lines…
