Hey folks still a fish happy frenzy happening here at Langara. Chinooks are being caught at every major point with Coho and Andrews leading the pack. David Belay Sr. tops the present group with a 44lb slab he caught right off of Coho point first thing this morning.
Patrick and Ellen Dearden had the experience of a lifetime when a large killer whale snatched their 30lb Chinook 3 feet from their boat. The massive orca was gracious enough to leave them the head with the hooks still embedded. Wow.
Cohos are showing up in greater numbers by the hour and the island should be flush with them in the next couple days for the duration of the season. So if your looking to limit on Chinooks and Cohos, Langara is the place.
