Hello everyone. Cookie here with some tremendous fishing from our first five days at Langara Island. The Chinook fishing had been spotty over the first 5 days but was beginning to improve when a temporary Southeaster shut down the prime spots for us. The average Chinook size is over 22 lbs. This is quite large for early season. The bottom fishing, however, is the best I have ever seen in my 11 year tenure at Langara. I’ll let these numbers speak for themselves.

As I write this I have just learned that Ken has helped to harpoon an 80-90 lber by Cox Island for Charlotte Princess boat 12.
The hali are coming from all over but mainly from the Lighthouse and between Cox Island and Lacy. Many are from less than 150 feet of water. Salmon action has been at Lacy and Andrews Point.
