As we wind up Trip #1 on the MV Salmon Seeker, four more guests reeled in halibut over 100lbs. earning them Masterfisherman honours. John Dormer's 109lb. and Will Hoekstra's 106lb. hali were the largest to hit our decks.
In our Captains Club, we have five new members with 30lb. plus Chinook and over 50lb. halibut. Tome Bone netted a 87lb. hali earning him the weight leader for this category.
Limits of Chinook continued to hit our decks this trip with lots of cat and release ranging from 20lb. to 25lb. Overall, this has been a great start to the season opening. The weather is fine and sunny with reasonably calm seas allowing our guides to fish their favoured spots outside the Inlet. for those who prefer the quieter waters, inside the Inlet continues to be productive fishing spot.
