Epic fishing!
Langara Island Fishing Resorts - August 10, 2006
Hey folks… it’s been a few days, I know, but I’ve been busy cleaning fish!
The fishing over the past 5 days has been absolutely epic. I haven’t seen the kind of numbers of large fish like this in quite a while.
Countless numbers of Chinooks around or over 25 lbs. are being caught daily. The last group saw Chinooks weighing 39 lbs, 37 lbs, 38 lbs and several over 30 lbs..
The bite at Coho point this morning was nothing short of fishing nirvana. Multiple halis in the twenty pound range as well as a 53 lb beauty have also been shipped out this week. Judging by the number of birds over at Marchand reef right now there should be a forty pounder waiting for a perfectly-cut headless herring so I must go now. Until next time.
