Chinook Masterfisherman

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - June 15, 2006

Langara salmon fishing lodgeOur latest group managed to filter through the fog and catch themselves a dockfull of Chinooks.

Cohoe Point and Andrews have been producing some nice Langara salmon on the flood tide while Gunia Point and Bruin Bay have produced some stories on the ebb.

Our first Masterfisherman award for Chinook fishing was awarded today to Bill Loftus, who caught a 57lb Chinook in Egeria Bay near Cohoe Point this afternoon.

Today's bottom fishing excursion executed by myself and Fusilli Marshall, the MV Marabell fishmaster, produced a 60lb halibut and several large ling cod and yellow eye. The Orcas struck two Marabel boats again leaving one half chinook and one half halibut, bringing the Marabel dinner dates with the Orcas to three.
