Chinook fishing in Dibrell Bay

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - July 6, 2007

Bigger Chinooks are showing up this week. 41, 38 and 36 pounders came from Cohoe Point and Dibrell Bay in the last two days. These fish are laying deep and the best way to catch them is by free-spooling to the bottom and then taking up about 10 feet of line.

Andrews and McPherson Points continue to produce smaller Chinook and growing Coho, with the Coho now averaging 8 lbs. Cohoe Point continues as a reliable spot for 10 to 15 lbs halibut.

MV Charlotte Princess guest James Litrrel took home the clock for group 10 with a 39 lb. Chinook caught in Bruin Bay. Chinook average size is up to a nice 22 lbs.
