Chinook and Northern Coho

MV Charlotte Princess - August 9, 2010

Hello all. Cookie here again with tidings of big Chinook and Coho at Langara Island. The average Chinook and Coho sizes shot up over the past couple days to 10.5 for Coho and 23 for Chinook. Several tyee class Chinook and hooknose Northern Coho have been taken over the last couple days, with a 35l lb. by Matteo Pasqualle leading the pack. Several 13 and 14lb. coho were capped off by a beauty 15 pounder caught by Luc Belliveau.

Most guests are hitting their limits on salmon or will be shortly. All the major points on the east side of the island are producing fish at an array of different depths from 10 to 75 pulls. Stellar bites at Andrews and Coho  led the way with great action at Gunia on the high slack for those that skipped lunch paying off as well. The best salmon fishing season in years is still rolling on here and gets better every day.
