Chicken halis and solid salmon fishing

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - June 7, 2006

Perfect weather and some solid fishing marked today’s adventures at Langara Island.

The early morning bite of Cohoe Pt saw many salmon caught at ten to twenty pulls. Throughout the day, some nice bites were also reported at Andrews Pt and Langara Rocks.

A hali trip lead by Fishmaster Marshall left the Marabell and Charlotte Princess at 3:00 to catch the 4:00 low tide. “Jeroen’s Hali Hole” again proved to be a great spot to catch chicken-size halibut. Within an hour many anglers had filled their daily limit.

Weather conditions for fishing were ideal around all of Langara Island, with very little wind and the sun shining in the late afternoon.
