Reel Reports
Best fishing in years
Langara Island Fishing Resorts - July 25, 2006
Hey folks, Cookie here again. I just came off the Charlotte Princess dock where we were trying to add more floatation to receive the load of fish I expect this afternoon. We already have 31 lb, 46 lb, 27 lb, 32 lb Chinooks on the docks, plus several in the mid 20s.
Explorer Bay and Bruin Bay were the hotspots again. Bottom fishing is the best I have ever seen it due to the numbers and size of lings and yellow eye. Marshall on the MV Marabell will be leading the next bottom fishing bonaza this afternoon, with the target fish being the abundant chicken halis on the east side.
Overall the fishing right now is the best I have seen in several years. I must end fish report here… a 60lber is calling me from Marchand Reef: Coooooookie… feeeed me.
Can you hear her?
