A Beautiful Couple of Days

MV Charlotte Princess - June 28, 2011

It has been a beautiful two days up here in Langara. We have experienced light winds out of the east that have now turned westerly. This has provided some ideal fishing conditions off of Cohoe and Andrew Points. There have been tons of Minky and Humpback Whales feeding off of the west side and providing lots of entertainment for those that are able to tear their eyes from their rod tips.

The first day started out a little slow but by the evening tide you had to be a well tuned fishing machine to keep up with the pace. Lots of Chinook and Coho hit the dock with the trip leader to date Victor Babcock weighing in a healthy 27 pounder. There is still some work to be done to catch Gordon Randall with a 42 pounder caught on the final morning that is currently the ship's season record.

We have added at least one Masterfisherman on this trip as Daniel Price has weighed in a 152 pound halibut.  If you have not booked your trip to the Charlotte Princess then now would be the time as their are not many spots left. I hope to see you up here soon.
